LMC was founded in 2010 and has become one of the South’s leading carpentry contracting companies. With over 200 carpenters, LMC specialise in total contract carpentry projects, encompassing the complete assembly of welfare areas to full project installations. They work as subcontracting carpenters and joiners on residential & commercial new builds with contract values ranging from £50k-£3m+.

The Challenge

Operating across Surrey, Sussex, Kent, Essex, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire, and London, LMC have been working with ITDS since October 2020, when they decided to move their Managed Print Service provider. Even though their previous supplier didn’t make the transition easy, ITDS managed the process and dealt with every aspect of the change. Part of the longer-term plan was for their IT and connectivity solutions to be transitioned to the ITDS umbrella once their contract had expired. By 2023, it was apparent that LMC had outgrown their IT Service provider and required a new approach.

The Solution

ITDS Managed Services explored how they could provide tailored IT support to meet   LMC’s business requirements.

Managing Director Scott Lyons said: “We went back to Jermaine and the team to discuss our IT & Connectivity requirements and the process involved to onboard us as a client. From the last few years of working together, it was obvious they already had a good idea of our requirements and were able to make recommendations to address our pain points. Like us, ITDS had grown significantly the past few years, and they now had the infrastructure and personnel to deliver the level of service and support we needed.”

ITDS Managed are also creating an “IT Roadmap” for LMC that will make regular improvements and updates over the short and long term. Through quarterly account reviews, this will allow L&M to adapt quickly to changes in the IT market space, have the most up to date security and data protection available and plan for their IT future both technically and commercially.
